    34 teams, including 15 from #UTM, presented in this year's edition of the international student competition "Microelectronic Systems Engineering acad. Sergiu Rădăuţan "39 applications in the field of microelectronic systems, robototechnics, biomedical devices, systems and applications with microcontrollers.
    Being a competition with a clear tinge of practical implementation of the creation of young people passionate about this field, the jury appreciated both the oral description of the devices and the practical demonstration of their functionality. The most convincing was Dimitrie-Cristian FODOR, a student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Gr. POPA "in Iasi, who impressed with a" smart maneuver for practicing first aid techniques ", winning the prize of 3000 lei and the gold medal. The second prize of 2000 lei and the silver medal were awarded to the student FCIM - Faculty of Informatics and Microelectronics Vladislav KOVALSKII for the "Drawing robot" application, and the 3rd prize in the amount of 1000 lei and a bronze medal have entered the palmare Inei BOTNARU and Diana Valeria VACARU, also from #FCIM, UTM, for the "Robotic Arm" exhibit.
    Another 20 special prizes aimed at stimulating the ingenuity and creativity of the participants, as well as their involvement in the alternative educational act, linked to the requirements of the business environment, were awarded to the students from the TUM and FCIM partners in this competition - The Microelectronics Graduates' UTM, Biomedical Engineering Society of Moldova, Moldovan companies StarNet, AFN Systems, DJV-Com SRL, JV plant "Topaz" SA AROBS Software Aproservice-X and Microchip Technology Inc. SRL (Bucharest) and P.Q.T Mecatronics & Innovation (Iaşi).
    The representative of the contest was a #UTM - 15 teams, followed by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Grigore T. Popa" University - 5 teams, Technical University "Gheorghe Asachi" Iasi - 4. Transilvania University of Brasov - 4, Polytechnic College from Bălţi -3, a team delegating University of Informatics and Radioelectronics from Minsk, National Technical University "I. Sikorsky ", Kiev and the Center for Energy and Electronics, Chisinau.
    At the contest, prof. Dr., PhD. Sontea Victor, Head of Department Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering, UTM, said that the competition, now in its eighth edition, has become a platform Innovative special in the history of UTM, in which future engineers demonstrate their teamwork skills, creativity, ingenuity, endeavor - indispensable qualities for a successful career.
